PIANO

A beautiful archival black and white pigment print of a distressed baby grand piano on the shoreline signed and printed by Jim Wright.

“This was also shot on  the set of I music video that I directed. If I could, every music video that I work on would involve the beach in some fashion. The song has a piano intro while the key line talks about a piano. So I said great; “Let’s find a piano and put it in the ocean!” I then built a whole story around a couple, the water, the beach with this stranded piano in the background as the singer performed. Simple right? Well actually we had to find a piano, strip it so that it’s light enough to move down to the water in the dark for a sunrise performance shot. Then as the tide went out, keep moving it into the water so that continuity was kept as we setup for different shots.“-JW
